Leading platform, content and services provider Playtech has published its financial report for the first half of 2026. In addition to exceeding its forecasts and recording double-digit growth across most metrics, the company also teased details about its plans to launch in Brazil. Playtech Experienced Strong Growth In its report, Playtech outlined H1 2026 revenue of EUR 425.1 million ($493.9 million), up 10% year-on-year. In addition to that, the company’s adjusted EBITDA skyrocketed to EUR 162.5 million ($188.8 million), up 77% year-on-year. This also significantly exceeds the expectations prior to the July 9 trading update. Playtech’s adjusted EBITDA margin, on the other hand, increased to 30%. In terms of adjusted profit after tax, Playtech reported EUR 95 million ($110.4 million), which marks a staggering growth of 472%. Playtech also reported free cash flow generation of EUR 101 million ($117.4 million), resulting in EUR 39.2 million ($45.5 million) in group cash as of the end of H1 2026 and after a EUR 25 million ($29.1 million) share buyback. For reference, the share buyback in question saw Playtech require 1.8% of its share capital. The company’s strong performance was underpinned by “excellent strategic progress in the Americas,” with strong contributions from the US and Canada where the company’s revenue shot up 160%. The company’s business in LATAM fared well, too. As a result of the strong H1, Playtech believes that it is on track to deliver FY 2026 adjusted EBITDA of between EUR 250 and 300 million ($290.5-348.6 million), in line with earlier forecasts. The company added that it expects the actual figure to exceed EUR 270 million ($313.7 million). CEO Weizer Was Pleased with the Performance Mor Weizer, Playtech’s chief executive officer, commented on the company’s financial performance, saying that the H1 performance has exceeded the management’s expectations, attesting to the strength of Playtech’s technology, the quality of its partnerships, and the disciplined execution of its strategy. Weizer added that H1 was also a period of strategic growth that saw the company renew existing agreements and launch in new iGaming states. He was convinced that the company is poised for further growth in regulated and regulating markets. Our balance sheet remains strong, and we are well-positioned to invest as required and also return capital to shareholders. We remain confident in achieving our ambitious medium-term targets and see exciting opportunities for the Group across our markets. Mor Weizer, CEO, Playtech Playtech Braces for Brazil Launch Following the publication of the H1 results, Weizer also commented on Playtech’s plans to hit the Brazilian gaming market. He called Brazil a “key strategic market for the group” and emphasized that the company already has a local presence through its recently launched live casino studio in São Paulo. While Weizer acknowledged that gambling remains a contentious issue in Brazil, he remained mostly optimistic about the market and said that the company hopes to launch there “by the beginning of, or at the beginning of, next year.”
