Wynn Al Marjan reveals ‘Townhomes’ accommodation concept

Wynn Al Marjan Island, the casino resort under construction in Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has given details on what it calls the “Townhomes”, a new accommodation offering at the complex’s Enclave boutique hotel. The Townhomes (pictured) will range from 630 square metres (6,781 sq. feet) for a two-bedroom configuration to 1,110 sq. metres for a four-bedroom layout, and will span two levels. They will be available “by exclusive reservation only,” according to a Tuesday press release from Wynn Al Marjan. The accommodation will be at the centre of the resort, but outside its hotel tower. Access will be via what is termed the “Royal Foyer”. Wynn Al Marjan is being developed by casino operator Wynn Resorts alongside local partners Marjan LLC and RAK Hospitality Holding LLC. Wynn Resorts, parent of Macau casino operator Wynn Macau Ltd, holds a 40-percent equity interest in the UAE scheme. Wynn Resorts said earlier this month that Wynn Al Marjan is due to open in September 2027, with the scheme’s total budget increasing by approximately US$600 million. It had previously been described as a US$5.1-billion project. Todd-Avery Lenahan, president and chief creative officer of Wynn Design & Development, was cited as saying: “Townhomes move beyond the traditional idea of a villa or penthouse. This is an entirely different category of accommodation, defined by privacy, scale, and a level of residential design rarely found in a resort setting.” Max Tappeiner, president of Wynn Al Marjan, separately described the Townhomes as among the “most expansive and exclusive accommodations” Wynn Resorts had created, and said they were a “clear signal” of the ambition for the Ras Al Khaimah project. With the addition of the Townhomes, Enclave is to comprise 323 accommodations across suites, Apartments, Townhomes, and Marina and Ocean Estates, according to Tuesday’s release.
