VEGAS DINING NEWS: Resorts World Wants Pizza the Action, Private A’s Steakhouse, T-Mobile BBQ, Another Health Closure

Resorts World has announced that the replacement for Mulberry Street Pizza, which closed on Monday (Sept. 14), will be another Big Apple-sounding slicery. However, unlike Mulberry Street, which is an established L.A. brand, Amici New York Pizzeria will be an entirely new creation of Resorts World. Mulberry Street Pizzeria is a beloved brand founded in Beverly Hills by Bronx native Richie Palmer back in 1991. And, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, it’s bringing out a big gun for the task: Chef Ricky McCormick, who currently leads the team at Resorts World’s Stubborn Seed and previously headed the kitchen at Michelin-starred Restaurant Guy Savoy in Las Vegas and multiple Gordon Ramsay restaurants. Since Mulberry Street was always the busiest restaurant at Resorts World, here’s the question: Was its popularity based on name recognition, or just pizza-hungry resort guests, late-night Zouk Nightclub partiers, and random passersby seeking a slice that smells and looks good? The Athletic Club will only be accessible to season ticket holders and their guests during games and other stadium events. Stix Asia—the 18,000-square-foot food hall replacing the former Sundry food hall at UnCommons in southwest Las Vegas—announced its first three restaurants this week, all of which began in Tokyo: Ginza Bairin, founded in 1927; the Ramen Bario ramen spot; and Nanamusubi. K Ssam Bap—a Korean restaurant in the mini-mall at 3909 W. Sahara Ave.– was reportedly closed by the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) for the second time since it opened just a year ago. According to SNHD, a routine inspection on Thursday (Sept. 10) found 16 health violations resulting in 58 demerits. The violations were for food not being properly cooled, improper cleaning and sanitation of food contact surfaces, food not stored at proper temperatures, and food spoiled, contaminated or adulterated, among other infractions.The restaurant was also closed after a routine inspection on June 23, 2026 uncovered 17 health violations resulting in 53 demerits.
