According to the Ministry of Digital Economy, Thailand blocked over 945,075 URLs connected to online gambling in 2026. During October 2025 and September 2026, the government covered the investigation and made efforts to limit access to the online casino websites in the country. From the 945,075 URLs, approximately 835,207 were blocked by the order of the court. The other 109,868 URLs were blocked by digital platforms. As per the ministry, their current setup creates a synergy out of information collected from law enforcement, utilizes AI technology for recognizing gambling websites, and utilizes public tips to gather information on wagering. Together, the information collected is responsible for pinpointing gambling-related content and facilitates action against the URLs. The technique employed by the authorities consists of using both the judicial process and cooperation with digital service providers. The majority of the URL blocks happen with the help of court orders while the rest is taken care of by agreements with platforms. The ministry detailed their future steps made on October 6 after a meeting with anti-gambling and youth organizations. The steps include working with search engine providers to lower the accessibility of gambling websites and content on the network received via search queries.
