(Image: Resorts World New York City) The International Room made history as New York City’s first legal high-stakes casino table game venue. The 13,657-square-foot enclave includes 48 table games and three private gaming salons, featuring high-limit baccarat, roulette, and blackjack. Until today, players who wanted this level of service had to leave the city to find it. Now, we can offer the personal, high-touch hospitality guests expect in other destinations, which raises the bar for what’s possible in New York City,” said Meghan Taylor, senior vice president of government affairs and public relations at Genting Americas, the parent company of Resorts World. Guests in the International Room have 24/7 access to food and beverage without leaving the high-limit space. The private parlors can be tailored to individual needs, with enhanced entertainment offerings including karaoke. Resorts World Celebrates 15th Anniversary The International Room coincides with Resorts World New York City marking its 15th anniversary operating in Queens. Located at the former Aqueduct Racetrack site near JFK International Airport, Resorts World New York City opened in 2021 as a racino offering slot-like video lottery terminals (VLTs) and electronic table games. Resorts World New York City secured a full-scale gaming license last year after being chosen by the New York Gaming Facility Location Board. Resorts World received its concession to operate slot machines, live dealer table games, and sports betting in December 2025. The International Room is part of the casino’s broader first-floor expansion that welcomed 57 table games and 147 slot machines. The Resorts World casino now offers nearly 300 tables and more than 4,000 Las Vegas-like slot machines across two levels. Queens native Nas was on hand for the International Room’s opening. Nas helped market Resorts World for a downstate New York casino license, becoming the face of the $5.5 billion property overhaul during the bidding period. Genting enlisted Nas to boost its public campaign for slots and table games at Resorts World New York City. The specific terms of the deal, including potential ownership equity for the artist, remain undisclosed. Along with the casino overhaul and expansion, the $5.5 billion Resorts World New York City investment will add nearly 2,000 hotel rooms, a 7,000-seat arena, dozens of restaurants and bars, and 11 acres of green space. High-Limit Rooms Minimums In Las Vegas, table game minimums fluctuate based on demand and day of the week. High-limit rooms are typically closed during slower periods. When they’re open, minimums in Las Vegas VIP rooms range from a couple hundred dollars to over $5,000 per hand. Casino.org reached out to Resorts World New York City regarding table minimums for the International Room. A spokesperson said the property will provide those details shortly, and this article will be updated as soon as they become available.
