Racist Duel.com Founder Ossi Ketola Detained After Fleeing Antifa in SpongeBob Costume

The openly racist founder of online crypto casino Duel.com was detained by a police tactical unit in Helsinki Saturday (September 5) after attending a march by a far-right ethnonationalist group while dressed as SpongeBob SquarePants. Ossi “Monarch” Ketola, 29, and his entourage were heard shouting “sieg heil” as they fled anti-fascist counter protestors shortly before their vehicle was stopped by Finnish police. On Saturday afternoon, around 300 people attended a march organized by the neo-fascist Sinimusta Liike (Blue-BlackMovement), while an anti-fascist counter-demonstration attracted about 600, according to local reports. Police were deployed to keep the groups separated. Ketola, the Finnish gambling entrepreneur behind Duel and skin-gambling site CSGOEmpire, turned up with a security entourage and livestreamed proceedings on Kick. According to Finnish poker outlet Netti Pokeri, which subsequently interviewed him, Ketola said he went initially because he was curious about the Blue-Black Movement because some of its views aligned with his own. And here’s where it gets really weird. ‘Freakbob’ Ketola wore “Freakbob,” Duel’s grotesque SpongeBob-inspired mascot costume, as he and members of his group approached the anti-fascist counter-demonstration. Video shows the costumed Ketola subsequently running – awkwardly because of his costume — across a park flanked by members of his entourage while being pursued by demonstrators. Crucially, Ketola’s video does not show how the confrontation began, although he later claimed his group was attacked without provocation. Safely inside the vehicle, a visibly shaken Ketola railed against the “leftists” who had tried to attack him. “Stupid dumb, stupid fucking n*****s,” he complained, employing the racial slur despite having just been chased by a gang of white Finnish people. A video clip apparently shot a short time later shows the car surrounded by the police unit and Ketola and his group with their hands in the air. Ketola later clarified that they were held in the back of a police car for about two hours but were not questioned or charged with any crime. He vowed that “next time” he would bring 300 guards to the demonstration. Pattern of Provocation Ketola has a history of using racist language on his social media accounts. This has proven to be beyond the pale even for Elon Musk’s X platform, which banned him in October 2025. A Duel.com combat-sports event held August 29 in Orlando, Fla., received widespread condemnation for pitting a neo-Nazi fighter against a Jewish opponent, as spectators waved a large swastika flag. In a video clip posted September 1 to Duel.com-affiliated X account DdgenDuel, Ketola said: “I think that blue-eyed people in general are going to be more moral, they’re going to have more empathy, and are more trustworthy people.” As well as his fondness for blue-eyed people, Ketola clearly feels an affinity with SpongeBob SquarePants. Why he identifies so strongly with the childlike, relentlessly naïve, and frequently oblivious cartoon character is anyone’s guess.
