The Powerball jackpot is finally here and, as it turns out, was hit by an extremely lucky player in New Jersey. Since the win just happened, the fortunate ticket-holder has yet to come forward to claim their winnings. The Seventh Jackpot for 2026 Is Here The Powerball game just announced that the seventh Powerball jackpot of 2026 has become a reality after someone in New Jersey matched all six numbers for the November 4 drawing. The lucky winner is now eligible to redeem the $847 million prize as an annuity, or go for the one-time lump sum option of $363.1 million. For reference, the winning numbers for the November 4 Powerball drawing were 15, 34, 41, 53, and 56, plus the Powerball 21. The Power Play multiplier for that drawing was 2x. It should be noted that the sum won on November 4 is the tenth-largest top prize in the history of the game. The win also ended a chain of 35 consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner. Powerball officials noted that the past few drawings had seen an uptake in activity due to the growing prize. Stephen Durrell, product group chair at Powerball, explained: When the jackpot reaches this level, players take notice, and we’ve seen that excitement reflected in ticket sales over the past week. Every ticket sold helps grow the jackpot while also generating funding for important public programs and services in local communities. Stephen Durrel, product group chair, Powerball Details are still sparse, although Powerball is sure to announce more details about the win as they become available. 2026 Had Two Record-Setting Jackpots As mentioned, the latest Powerball jackpot is the tenth-largest in the history of the game. The top Powerball win happened in 2022 when a lucky player in California won $2.04 billion. The most recent jackpot before the current one was won in Illinois this summer and stood at $1.04 billion. This effectively means that 2026 had two record-setting Powerball prizes. In the meantime, the lucky player in New Jersey was not the only winner from the Wednesday drawing. While that drawing had no Match 5 winners, since no one (except the jackpot winner) managed to match all five white numbers, a few dozen players managed to match four white numbers plus the Powerball to win tier-three prizes. Powerball’s official announcement shows that 25 such players won $50,000 each, while 4 others won $100,000 each, thanks to Power Play. Since the jackpot was just won, the top prize has been reset to $20 million for the Saturday drawing.
