Pavilion Payments names Mary Beth Higgins CEO, promotes Alyssa Beaver

Gaming industry financial-technology provider Pavilion Payments has appointed Mary Beth Higgins (pictured, right) as its chief executive, with immediate effect. The United States-based company also announced on Thursday that Alyssa Beaver (pictured, left) has simultaneously been promoted to chief revenue officer. Pavilion Payments provides cashless, digital and in-person payment technologies for the gaming sector, including ones that enable casino customers to fund gaming activities and access winnings. Ms Higgins previously served as Pavilion Payments’ interim chief financial officer. She has more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in the gaming industry, including senior positions with casino operators and gaming technology providers, per the announcement. Before joining Pavilion Payments, Ms Higgins was CEO of Affinity Interactive and its sister company, Gaming and Hospitality Acquisition Corp. She also served as chief financial officer of Caesars Entertainment Operating Co, where she oversaw the financial operations of 38 casino properties across 14 U.S. states and five countries, per the update. Earlier in her career, Ms Higgins held senior financial roles at Global Cash Access Holdings, Herbst Gaming, and Camco Inc. She was also involved in the formation of VICI Properties, a real estate investment trust established through the restructuring of Caesars Entertainment Operating Co. Zach Sadek, senior partner at Parthenon Capital, which controls Pavilion Payments, said Ms Higgins had demonstrated the “strategic judgement, operational discipline and leadership needed to guide the company [Pavilion Payments] forward”. “Her deep experience across gaming and financial services, combined with her understanding of Pavilion’s business, customers and opportunities, gives us tremendous confidence in her leadership as CEO,” Mr Sadek added. According to Thursday’s release, Ms Beaver joined Pavilion Payments in May 2025 as senior vice president of sales, overseeing the company’s land-based gaming sales operations. She previously led sales and marketing at Passport Technology and held enterprise sales positions at Apriva and Paycom. In her new role, Ms Beaver will oversee Pavilion Payments’ revenue strategy, including efforts to strengthen customer relationships and expand the company’s presence in the gaming industry.
