Another spot of great news is coming straight out of Mississippi, where a local player has been able to secure a quarter-of-a-million payout from a popular lottery game. Match 5 Continues to Produce Lottery Winners in Mississippi The title, Match 5, is known for its generous six-figure (and more) prizes, and it has been one of the most popular titles statewide. On August 31, 2026, the Mississippi player figured out just why this was. The winner, who was not named and has still not claimed their prize, bought their winning ticket from Tobacco Warehouse 19 in Southaven. The numbers that secured the win were 10, 12, 17, 23, 30, and the prize reset and was about $50,000 as of September 1, 2026. The Mississippi Lottery has told players to always scan their tickets using the official lottery app and to check any ticket they have played – as one of those may be the key to a six-figure prize – or even better. This is not the only big prize from the Match 5 game, however. Previously, a Mississippi player scooped a $460,000 payout from the game. At the time of the win, the person was anonymous, and the lottery could not share details about who they were. The win actually took place last September, and the ticket was sold in Keith’s Superstore #108 in Long Breach, with the numbers 6, 10, 27, 33, and 35. The odds of taking home the grand prize sit at approximately 1 in 850,000. However, players who win need also be aware of the fact that they have only 180 days to claim their prizes from the day of the draw. This happens by producing the winning lottery ticket and visiting the Missippi Lottery headquarters in Flowood directly.
