Sportsbook and casino disruptor Midnite has onboarded an experienced ex-FanDuel Canada director. The one up to the task is Dale Tang, who joins as general manager for Canada, as the former company’s own launch into the North American country looms. Tang commented on the matter and said that he was excited about this new opportunity. Tang Joins the Midnite Family Tang announced that he is joining Midnite on LinkedIn, saying that he is excited about the opportunity to continue his involvement in the Canadian gaming sector. He joined FanDuel Canada five years ago when the local gaming market was still young and has since learned a lot about the Canadian sector and the broader gambling ecosystem. Tang’s most recent role at FanDuel saw him serve as FanDuel Canada’s director for commercial, analytics and retention. Before that, he spent time as a member of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. Tang noted that his time with FanDuel Canada taught him a lot and that he was able to learn from “exceptional leaders” and “incredible peers” within the gaming sector. He said that he is rooting for the FanDuel Canada team to continue excelling and admitted that his time with that company was one of the most rewarding chapters of his career. Because of that, choosing to exit FanDuel Canada and join Midnite was a difficult decision. However, he added that he was excited about the challenge of helping a company build its local business from scratch. It’s been one of the most rewarding chapters of my career, which made this decision anything but easy. But the chance to build something new in Canada doesn’t come around often – so I’m excited to share that I’ve joined Midnite to lead its launch into the Canadian market. Dale Tang, general manager for Canada, Midnite Tang wished everyone at FanDuel all the best. Midnite Pursues Further Growth Midnite’s launch into Canada comes in the wake of a funding round that saw the company raise $35 million to scale its geographical reach. Back then, the company said that this money would allow it to continue treading the path toward becoming a tier-1 operator. In other news, Midnite was recently criticized by the UK Advertising Standards Authority, which was displeased with Midnite ads that showed people in distress finding relief in gambling.
