Michigan Casino Opens ‘Adult-Oriented RV Park’ Near Resort, Cannabis Dispensary

A tribal casino in Michigan has opened an RV park that comes with several amenities that make it the ultimate adult playground. Located just west of the casino hotel’s main entrance on Michigan Highway 72, the 50-space RV park is adjacent to the Turtle Creek Market and Mobil gas station. Each space includes full hookups with electric, water, sewer, and trash disposal. There’s also a shuttle for guests unwilling or unable to make the short walk to the casino and its various restaurants, bars, and amenities. Adult Playground Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel, which is owned and operated by the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, says the RV park is “adult-oriented” and designed for the “modern traveler seeking both adventure and convenience.” The RV park has a clubhouse that elevates guest stays with a lounge, modern shower facilities, and laundry services. The clubhouse grounds include several firepits and a walking path. “It is the ultimate hub to relax, swap stories with fellow travelers, and unwind after a winning day on the casino floor,” the casino says. Along with the clubhouse, a fenced-in dog park is at the RV park, where guests can let out their four-legged companions for exercise and socialization. After Fido is worn out, RV guests can visit Beach Fire Cannabis, which is less than 200 feet from the park. Beach Fire Cannabis is the tribe’s marijuana business, offering recreational cannabis products to adults aged 21 and older. Voters in Michigan authorized recreational cannabis through a statewide referendum in 2018. Michigan’s recreational and medicinal cannabis law requires that consumption only occur on private property. While hotel rooms are not considered private property, RVs are. Casino Access Unlike the commercial casinos in Detroit, where the minimum age to gamble is 21, many tribal casinos in Michigan, including Turtle Creek, permit 18+. However, to book a hotel room at the casino, a guest must be at least 21. Other 18+ tribal casinos in Michigan include Bay Mills, Island Resort, Kewadin Casinos, and Soaring Eagle. FireKeepers, Four Winds, Gun Lake, and Odawa remain exclusive to 21+. The 56,000-square-foot Turtle Creek Casino offers over 1,000 slot machines and 40 table games.
