Interblock targets October Golden Week for ‘Free Fall Roulette’ Asia debut in Macau

Electronic table games specialist Interblock is targeting the autumn Golden Week holiday period for the Asian debut of its “Free Fall Roulette” product at three casino properties in Macau. Vincent Tang, Interblock’s vice president of sales for Asia Pacific, confirmed to GGRAsia that Free Fall Roulette was due to go live at The Londoner Macao, The Parisian Macao and The Venetian Macao, three properties run by Sands China Ltd. Each venue appears poised to have four units of Free Fall Roulette, according to GGRAsia’s own checks of the respective casino floors. Mr Tang stated that the three Sands China complexes would mark the product’s debut in Asia. He also affirmed that Interblock was targeting the October Golden Week festive period – encompassing China’s National Day, and running from October 1 to October 7 – for the rollout of Free Fall Roulette. “That is the target, and we are looking forward to this,” the executive told GGRAsia. The latest information follows Interblock’s confirmation that Free Fall Roulette had received regulatory approval for the Macau market. Free Fall Roulette is part of Interblock’s AMUSE product range. The company describes the product as combining a physical roulette ball with automated technology, with the ball released from above the roulette wheel rather than being launched by a dealer. Interblock has been expanding its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, including through new product introductions and regulatory approvals in a number of gaming jurisdictions. The Free Fall Roulette product is offered via the company’s Universal Cabinet and is described as a “pinball-style twist” on roulette. The play mechanism is inspired by Plinko ball drop, according to Interblock’s corporate materials.
