Inspire Entertainment Resort and South Korean financial services brand Shinhan Card have jointly announced a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for “exclusive customer benefits and partnership benefits” for the customers of the two businesses. It is for an “initial” one-year partnership to start in December, and will include “advertising and joint marketing, resort product sales, and enhanced membership benefits,” per a Thursday press release. Inspire, a leisure complex with foreigner-only casino near Incheon International Airport in South Korea, is controlled by investment firm Bain Capital. Shinhan Card Co Ltd is a credit finance business specialising in credit card and instalment-financing services, and is a unit of Shinhan Financial Group Co Ltd. The MoU was signed by the two sides on October 27, and attended by representatives including Hanna Lee (pictured left) Inspire’s chief marketing officer, and Chae Sung Ma (pictured right) Shinhan Card’s partnership division manager. As part of the arrangement, Shinhan Card customers will have access to what the statement “exclusive offers” at Inspire’s key amenities, including its hotels and indoor water park Splash Bay, as well as some restaurants at the property. The two parties also plan to explore “additional collaboration opportunities”, including the development of an “Inspire-exclusive” private-label credit card, Inspire said. Per Shinhan Card’s 2025 financial year report lodged in March this year, as of December 31, 2025, the group had approximately 20.42 million personal credit card holders, 1.97 million merchants in its network, and 47 branch offices.
