A lucky player in Delaware has become the latest recipient of a $1 million prize after matching all five white numbers for the Monday Powerball drawing. At the same time, the game’s jackpot remained elusive and has now officially exceeded the $800 million mark. The Player Narrowly Missed the Jackpot The Powerball results show that the Monday drawing had one Match 5 winner. The lucky ticket holder was revealed to be a player in Delaware who succeeded in matching all five white numbers for that drawing. While the player was only one Powerball away from the nine-figure jackpot, their effort has still been acknowledged with a $1 million prize. Speaking of winning numbers, the ones drawn on November 2 were 7, 23, 29, 64, and 66, plus the red Powerball 23. The Power Play multiplier, on the other hand, was 4x, resulting in several supercharged tier-three wins. Speaking of tier-three wins, a total of 19 players matched four white numbers and the Powerball. Of these, 16 won $50,000 each, since they didn’t have the Power Play feature active. The 3 who did won $200,000 each, instead. If anyone had matched all six numbers for the November 2, they would have been in for an $804 million payday ($344.6 million, in case they went with the one-time lump sum option). Since that didn’t happen, the estimated top prize has now reached $835 million for the Wednesday drawing. Current estimates put the jackpot’s lump sum option at $357.9 million. Powerball Continues to Create Millionaires in the USA and UK In other news, Powerball’s drawing on Saturday, October 31, awarded two Match 5 prizes of $1 million. One of these went to a player in the state of Georgia, while the other was claimed by a lucky UK customer. This is the latest seven-figure prize to be won in the UK, which adopted the Powerball game only recently. Other recent big prize winners include a player in Florida and a player in Georgia who won $1 million each. Before that, the October 21 drawing had three Match 5 winners, two of whom won $2 million each.
