Backseat Gaming, an independent player-led studio, and its new-look senior team will be in attendance at SBC Summit 2026, marking the first industry event for the studio since it announced its launch as a fully independent developer complete with its own RGS. Representing Backseat Gaming in Lisbon later this month will be a delegation including Debbie Cooper (Head of Commercial Operations) and new hires Kristina Hambardzumyan (Head of Business Development), Graeme Savill (Head of Business Development – Emerging Markets) and Kristeena Haidon (Senior Account Manager). The trip to Portugal’s capital is an opportunity for the Backseat Gaming team to showcase how it is already creating and delivering player-led content to a global audience. The studio, which releases a new game each week, has proven popular with players thanks to titles including Born in Hell, Toad Town and Totem Tower Bonanza. The event gives the team a major opportunity to meet operators and partners face-to-face as an independent company as it looks to build on recent success. Debbie Cooper, Head of Commercial Operations at Backseat Gaming, said: It’s great to see Backseat Gaming thriving since its independence. This strategy allows us to respond quickly to partner needs and deliver the kind of games players genuinely want to engage with. It also gives us the flexibility to tailor our release schedule and portfolio strategy to support long-term partner success. In recent months we’ve welcomed some highly experienced and talented individuals to the team and I’m looking forward to attending SBC Summit Lisbon with them to meet partners face-to-face, connect with new people, and demonstrate exactly what Backseat Gaming has to offer.
