Ainsworth expands Raptor range with 65-inch cabinet

Slot machine maker Ainsworth Game Technology Ltd has introduced the Raptor A865 (pictured), a portrait-format cabinet with a 65-inch display and technology designed to support the company’s future game portfolio. The new model – which Ainsworth describes as its “largest and most immersive cabinet to date” – retains the Raptor range’s LED lighting and “Dynamic Audio Soundscape”, according to a Thursday press release. The new large-format platform features a “J-Curve monitor, single screen/dual screen hybrid technology, an 18-inch button deck… dynamic audio soundscape, LED frame lighting… creating a powerful visual and interactive presence on the casino floor,” the supplier stated. Ainsworth plans to showcase the A865 at next week’s Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States, alongside an expanded selection of Raptor games. “The A865 has already demonstrated strong early performance in Australia and will receive its North American soft launch at G2E, ahead of a mass rollout planned for later in the fourth quarter,” the company said. The cabinet adds a larger portrait option to a line that includes the Raptor A849, whose curved display measures 49 inches. The ability to offer games across cabinet formats has been part of Ainsworth’s pitch to operators. Michael Barsin, an Ainsworth representative, told GGRAsia at the G2E Asia trade show in Macau earlier this year that the A849 could carry content developed by the company’s Australian and United States studios. The Raptor range has also been central to Ainsworth’s wider Asia-Pacific expansion. Troy Primmer, the supplier’s president for Asia Pacific, told GGRAsia last year that the company was seeking installations at Philippine integrated resorts and developing titles specifically for Asian markets.
