Table game technology specialist Walker Digital Table Systems LLC (WDTS) is to integrate BurraPay’s cryptocurrency payment technology with its Perfect Pay table games platform, the companies announced on Tuesday. The planned integration would allow players to fund a table game wagering account with cryptocurrency at a connected gaming table. Its availability will depend on gaming regulatory approval in each jurisdiction, the statement said. BurraPay is a financial technology company that provides cryptocurrency payment and deposit platforms for the global gaming, casino, and sportsbook industries. “This integration will make WDTS the first table games management platform to offer the compliant crypto payments solution to its casino customers,” noted the press release. WDTS will add the BurraPay Direct-to-Device (D2D) crypto payment technology to its Perfect Pay table platform, per the update. According to the announcement, WDTS’ technology “is currently deployed on more than 5,000 gaming tables across Asia, Australia, and North America”. BurraPay said its D2D system is designed to process payments while conducting anti-money laundering checks. The company also offers technology for slot machines and gaming terminals, as well as integrations with casino player account systems. WDTS chief executive, Stephen Moore, was cited as saying: “We are excited to be the first table games system to integrate with such a transformative solution in casino payments.” “WDTS has always been committed to leading the industry with innovative solutions for the management of the table games ecosystem and BurraPay’s platform enabling the compliant use of cryptocurrency to fund the customers wagering account is the perfect complement to our suite of offerings,” Mr Moore added. Luke Millanta, BurraPay’s co-founder and chief technology officer, said the partnership enables the company to deploy its crypto payment platform throughout Walker Digital’s international casino customer network. The technology gives “players the option to fund their table game wagering account with cryptocurrency – at the gaming table – in a compliant and secure way,” Mr Millanta stated. The statement said BurraPay’s technology ensures “all required anti-money laundering compliance checks occur swiftly and seamlessly behind the scenes”. It also includes “blockchain monitoring tools capable of analytics to ensure that every transaction meets… strict financial compliance and responsible gaming standards,” it added. The companies did not announce a launch date or identify any casino that has committed to using the integrated system. They plan to demonstrate it at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), being held from September 28 to October 1 in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States.
