SJM summer programme draws over 900 participants

Macau casino operator SJM Resorts Ltd said its 2026 summer programme for employees’ children attracted more than 900 participants. SJM Resorts is the Macau operations unit of Hong Kong-listed casino firm SJM Holdings Ltd. Held in July and August, the programme featured 48 complimentary courses and themed activities for youngsters aged between three and 15. Participation was also open to children either of relatives or friends of employees, according to a recent press release. Activities covered sports, culinary arts, academic enrichment, creative science, and arts and culture. New offerings this year included: an artificial intelligence exploration workshop; pickleball; basic first aid; and children’s dining etiquette. SJM Resorts also organised parent-child activities including cake-making, pottery, junior carpentry, and pizza-making workshops, with some sessions held at the group’s Grand Lisboa Palace Resort. Participants also took part in making Portuguese-style tiles; and visited attractions at the Cotai property. The casino firm said it had expanded the programme’s class capacity this year in response to growth in demand, allowing more families to participate. The initiative was designed to combine learning, personal development, and recreation, while encouraging young participants to explore their interests and potential. The company said the programme is part of its efforts to support the wellbeing of employees and their families. SJM Resorts also runs workshops on parenthood, family activities, festive celebrations; as well as a scholarship programme for employees’ children.
