Raketech and the former owners of Casumba Media have agreed to settle the remaining earnout obligation in full for €8.2m (£6.88m)- a sizable reduction from the €20.3m existing liability. It sees the Malta-based iGaming affiliate secure a 60% reduction on the existing liability. The company said it has signed a sanction letter with Bank of Valletta for financing of €5.5m. It will use this alongside €2.7m of existing cash to pay the settlement. This concludes a saga which first began back in 2019, when Raketech acquired Casumba for a €2m fee, with the possibility of additional earnout payments based on certain performance measures. Part of the earnout was uncapped based on future performance up until 31 July 2024. Raketech then sold the asset for €12m in September 2025 – just months after the company agreed with the original sellers to extend the remaining earnout payment period from September 2026 to March 2028, subject to interest charges and with all payments to be made in cash. This agreement was made in May 2025. As of 30 June 2026, the company owed €21.3m for the earnout. After making a €1.3m payment and adding interest, this reduced the amount to the €20.3m cited above. With this agreement, Raketech is finally set to clear all remaining debts and obligations. Can settlement initiate a period of optimism at Raketech? “This marks a significant milestone for Raketech, as we have reached an agreement to settle the Casumba earnout, substantially strengthening our balance sheet,” said Johan Svensson, Chief Executive Officer of Raketech. “The favourable financing terms also provide us with a solid financial foundation, allowing us to fully focus on executing our product strategy across Affiliation Marketing and SubAffiliation through AffiliationCloud.” Market reaction has been hugely positive for the business, with its stock up by over 60% since this announcement, breaking the SEK 2 mark for the first time since early 2026. The share price of Raketech today (SEK 2.02) represents its highest so far this year, but the firm needs to arrest a profit decline if it is to keep that market momentum going forward. Q2 2026 saw the company’s operating profit fall by almost 65% year-on-year to €392,000 from €1.12m, but Svensson remained positive following sequential revenue and EBITDA growth. All eyes will be on next month’s Q3 results, when the market discovers whether Raketech has been able to continue the upbeat momentum established this week.
