Pixbet fined €136,440 in Brazil over regulatory violations

Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) reported a fine against operator Pixbet in amount of €136,440. According to a notice published by the SPA on August 31, 2026, Pixbet was fined for regulatory violations of the Brazilian betting system and has 10 days to pay the fine or appeal the decision. Pixbet must pay the fine to the National Treasury’s unified account through the PagTesouro portal. The billing details provided by SPA must be used for payment. According to Article 21 of the SPA/MF Ordinance No. 1,233/2024, the company has the right to file its appeal within the same period of 10 days. In the case of an appeal, Pixbet has to file it or send a proof of payment electronically through the Electronic Information System (SEI), mentioning process No. 19995.009781/2025-37. Should Pixbet neither pay the penalty nor file an appeal within the time limit, the authorities will proceed to submit the amount for registration in the Dívida Ativa da União, the active debt system of the federal government. The SPA has made the public announcement about it in the DOU on the 31st of August, 2026. The publication initiates the period of time when the company can respond.
