Gaming technology, content, and services leader OpenBet announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire OmniLogic, a sports betting tech provider. This move will enhance the latter company’s tech stack, cementing its position as the go-to provider for many lottery operators. OpenBet to Integrate OmniLogic Into Its Business According to the announcement, the acquisition of OmniLogic is expected to close later this year. Once it does, OpenBet will expand its presence across regulated lottery markets and add “established operator partnerships and specialist sportsbook expertise to its global business.” Among other things, the arrangement will cement OpenBet’s position as the leading provider of sports betting and platform solutions to members of the World Lottery Association (WLA). OpenBet clarified that OmniLogic boasts an experienced team that has been working alongside regulated lotteries, including WLA members, for more than 10 years. The platform [of OmniLogic] powers omnichannel betting operations across retail, online and mobile for major lottery and betting operators across EMEA, with capabilities spanning trading, risk management and back-office functionality. OpenBet president Nikos Konstakis emphasized that his company has become a leading provider thanks to creating a network of leading partners and said that the acquisition of OmniLogic is a “natural extension” of his team’s strategy. Konstakis explained that the acquisition will complement OpenBet’s existing capabilities, while strengthening its business.
