Russel won the eight-figure sum from a 300X The Money ticket, securing a life-changing payout. Russel’s winning ticket was purchased from the Cumberland Farms gas station at 499 North Greenbush Road. He later visited the lottery HQ and ditched the annuity option for the full sum in favor of a one-time lump sum payment of $4,470,118. For reference, 300X The Money is a $30 game featuring top prizes of $10 million. At launch, the game offered four such prizes, as well as fifteen second-tier prizes of $150,000. As of the time of this writing, there are three top prizes that have yet to be claimed. The New York Lottery’s official website also states that twelve of the second-tier prizes are still up for grabs. Last month, a Connecticut resident who had won a $1,432,201 New York lottery prize back in May finally stepped forward to claim his prize.
