Casino technology firm LT Game Ltd is launching soon “HyTable” (pictured), an electronic multi-game configuration that features either virtual-play or live-dealer casino games. HyTable will offer baccarat and blackjack options for its launch phase. The product could go live on casino floors before the end of “this summer”, said LT Game’s chief operating officer Eddie Au, in comments to GGRAsia. The company is prioritising Southeast Asian gaming markets – including Vietnam and the Philippines – for its HyTable marketing push, he added. Mr Au explained the name ‘HyTable’ signified a electronic gaming-table product offering “hybrid settings: operators can either opt for virtual [-cards] casino games, or live-dealer-assisted games”. HyTable’s design has incorporated feedback from existing casino-operator clients of LT Game, particularly in relation to ‘card squeeze’ functions for its virtual baccarat play format, said Mr Au. Via the touchscreen on the new product, players can rotate the virtual playing cards, or ‘squeeze’ a face-down virtual card to reveal its value, in the manner employed by many Asian players of the traditional-format live game. “The bettor that wagers the most on either the ‘banker’ or ‘player’ hand can also designate another fellow [HyTable] player that they deem as ‘lucky’, to do the ‘card-squeezing’,” Mr Au noted, explaining another major feature of HyTable’s virtual-baccarat play mode. That was aimed at creating a “social interaction” mimicking traditional-format baccarat table games. Whether in live-dealer or virtual play mode, the electronic play terminals for the players allow automated bet settlement, and faster game cycles, said Mr Au. “That is akin to the ‘smart’ [live] table experience: the gameplay is processed quickly, with accurate payout,” the LT Game COO said. Another major feature of HyTable was that players could adjust the angle of the player screen on the terminal, for optimal viewing, stated Mr Au. At a later stage in the product’s evolution, the supplier aims to introduce Texas hold’em poker to HyTable’s library of casino games, Mr Au also mentioned.
