Gaming equipment supplier Japan Cash Machine Co Ltd, also known as JCM Global, is set to launch iVIZION 2, the latest generation of its trademark bill validator. The new product is designed to provide faster processing, improved counterfeit detection and greater transaction intelligence for casino operators, according to information shared with GGRAsia. JCM, a firm listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, makes machines that validate banknotes and handle currency, as well as manufacturing printers for casino gaming machines and other gaming hardware-related devices. The iVIZION 2 is said to use “dual 800-megahertz ARM processors,” and offers what the firm described as “up to eight times more processing power” than other bill validators. The redesigned processing platform enables it to execute “more advanced validation routines” and analyse banknotes “with greater speed and precision”, according to the supplier. “The result is enhanced authentication performance and increased confidence in every transaction,” JCM stated. The company said iVIZION 2’s “next-generation” contact image sensor (CIS) technology captures banknote images at 200 dots per inch (DPI), in full colour and infrared. That represented “four times” the image resolution of competing products, it added. The technology enables the device to read serial numbers and other banknote information using optical character recognition. JCM said such features could improve counterfeit detection and anti-money-laundering safeguards, while generating note-level data for casino operators. The validator has 256 megabits of flash memory, which the company said could accommodate larger currency libraries, improved validation algorithms, expanded data-management capabilities and future software upgrades. “This architecture helps protect customers’ investments while ensuring readiness for evolving market requirements,” the supplier noted. The product also features 4 gigabits of memory, described by JCM as “up to 64 times” the capacity of competing bill validators. The additional capacity was said to support “quicker note processing, faster system response times, and the computing resources required for next-generation functionality”. JCM stated that iVIZION 2 had been engineered to operate for up to “2 million cycles”, a level it said was as much as “10 times more” than similar products in the market. The increased durability was designed to reduce maintenance requirements and gaming-floor downtime, as well as lower the overall cost of ownership, according to the firm. The product is compatible with several components of the JCM technology ecosystem, including the ICB, FUZION and iTITO systems, as well as the ICB ASAP robotic automation platform. JCM’s new product is due to be presented at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States. The event is scheduled to take place from September 28 to October 1 at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas.
