US financial services company EDGE Markets is deploying AI agents on its EDGE Pro platform and partners to serve as automated margin guardrails for institutions participating in 24/7 prediction market trading. EDGE Markets Announces Integration of AI Agents According to the company, the new capabilities are designed to support institutional trading by eligible users in markets that operate around the clock. The new infrastructure enables institutions to create pre-authenticated accounts with clearly defined permissions and capital limits. Trading algorithms and AI agents can then execute approved activities within those parameters, without requiring unrestricted access to the institution’s underlying accounts. Institutions can now set in advance how much capital can be deployed, by whom, and for what purpose, including daily transaction limits. These capabilities will be available to all EDGE Pro users. Additionally, EDGE Markets’ execution-routing partners, which include River Markets, Open Markets, ParlayX, and Pikkit, will also integrate these features through EDGE’s APIs. This will allow traders to execute transactions on the partner platform of their choice while continuing to use EDGE Pro for banking and capital allocation. The integration of AI agents is part of EDGE Markets’ broader strategy of investing more into the rapidly growing field of prediction markets. Earlier this year, the company raised almost $30 million in a Series A funding round aimed at showing investors that EDGE wants to broaden its infrastructure for regulated betting and prediction markets. Officials Comment on the New Integration Seni Thomas, founder and CEO of EDGE Markets, explained that markets are becoming increasingly automated and global. However, the infrastructure for accessing and moving capital across prediction markets has yet to keep pace with real-world demand. By integrating AI agents into their products, Thomas explained that EDGE Markets is building a secure, programmable layer between institutional capital and the platforms, counterparties, and agents authorized to use it. This enables companies to automate at scale while maintaining clear control over how much capital can move, where it can go, and when it can be accessed. Meanwhile, Oscar Levy, CEO of River Markets, said that capital efficiency is a key focus for many of the company’s clients and partners. He noted that the fully collateralized nature of event contracts, combined with liquidity fragmentation across venues, creates a unique and important challenge, necessitating new tech, such as AI agents, to manage. Levy added that River Markets is excited to collaborate with EDGE Markets to enable faster and more efficient capital deployment for customers across exchanges. Gino Donati, president of OpenMarkets, explained that every operator and institution the company has spoken with has identified visibility and scalability as its main priorities. The solutions being developed in collaboration with EDGE Markets are designed to address these needs across both front-line operations and back-office functions, Donati said. The company added that it looks forward to partnering with EDGE Markets in several meaningful ways in the near future. In other recent news in prediction markets, a Mormon religious leader slammed prediction markets and online sports betting, saying they are morally wrong.
