DigiPlus Interactive Corp, a provider of online gambling services in the Philippines and holder of licences in South Africa and for Brazil, has appointed Teneo as its “strategic advisor”, it said in a Monday statement. Teneo is a United States-based firm providing consultancy services to chief executives and senior management at some of the world’s major companies, including Fortune 100 and FTSE 100 firms. Earlier this month – when it announced its second-quarter results – Philippine-listed DigiPlus said its board had approved the filing of an expression of interest to apply for an online gaming licence in New Zealand. DigiPlus stated on Monday regarding its appointment of Teneo: “The partnership comes at a pivotal stage in DigiPlus’ growth as the company pursues opportunities beyond the Philippines.” It added: “Teneo will provide global perspective and senior counsel to help DigiPlus navigate complex business environments, assess emerging opportunities and risks, and make well-informed strategic decisions.” In the Philippines, DigiPlus runs BingoPlus, an online bingo platform; ArenaPlus, a sportsbook; and GameZone, a platform for casual and arcade gaming. The online gaming provider further stated regarding its hiring of Teneo: “The collaboration supports DigiPlus’ evolution from a Philippine market leader into an increasingly global digital entertainment company. “It complements the company’s continued investments in innovation, responsible growth, governance, and organisational capabilities, providing a stronger foundation for sustainable expansion in the Philippines and internationally.” In April, DigiPlus said it had received online gaming licences from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board (WCGRB) in South Africa. The online gaming provider obtained a Brazil online licence in January 2025, though in October that year, paused its operations there. In July this year, the firm relaunched its BingoPlus platform in Brazil. In early June, DigiPlus completed a second subscription to convertible notes in Hong Kong-listed International Entertainment, to a value of HKD800 million (US$102.0 million). International Entertainment controls the LaVie Resort & Casino Manila, a property that has a provisional casino gaming licence from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor).
