Crane NXT Co has appointed Jason Lund as president of its unit Crane Payment Innovations (CPI), a provider of payment and cash-processing technology to a range of industries, including the casino gaming sector. Mr Lund (pictured) has also been named group president of Crane NXT’s Detection and Traceability Technologies (DTT) segment, according to a Monday announcement. In his new role, Mr Lund will lead the CPI business and the DTT segment, with a focus on “driving growth, operational excellence, and customer-focused innovation,” the parent company stated. CPI supplies a range of payment technologies used in the gaming industry, including bill validators, coin-handling systems and cashless payment solutions. Aaron Saak, president and chief executive of Crane NXT, said in prepared remarks that Mr Lund was a “seasoned business leader” with experience managing global industrial technology and manufacturing businesses. “His disciplined operating approach, customer focus, and strategic portfolio management make him exceptionally well positioned to lead CPI and the DTT segment,” Mr Saak said. He added: “I am confident Jason’s leadership will further strengthen our ability to deliver value for our customers and shareholders.” Mr Lund most recently served as president of robotics and automation at technology company Novanta Inc, according to Monday’s release. He previously held executive leadership roles at Novanta, Vontier Corp, Fortive Corp and Danaher Corp. Crane NXT said Mr Lund had more than two decades of experience, including in operational management, mergers and acquisitions, and integration initiatives. Commenting on his appointment, Mr Lund said: “I look forward to partnering with the CPI and DTT teams, leveraging the Crane Business System, and building on the company’s strong foundation to lead the CPI business and the DTT segment through their next chapter of growth and innovation.” Earlier this month, Crane NXT reported net income of US$35.4 million for the second quarter of 2026, on net sales that rose 22.0 percent year-on-year, to US$493.2 million.
