Boyd Gaming has been named as a defendant in a civil lawsuit alleging that a 16‑year‑old girl was sexually assaulted inside a hotel room at The Orleans, a Las Vegas property owned and operated by the company. The complaint was filed Tuesday (Oct. 13) in Clark County District Court. Boyd Gaming’s Orleans casino hotel in Las Vegas. Hernandez, a Cuban rapper who goes by the stage name Chocolate MC, was one of the featured performers at Masque’s New Year’s Eve event. Yosvanis Arismin Sierra Hernandez (Chocolate MC) received a 10‑year prison sentence earlier this year under a plea agreement that consolidated several criminal cases, including one involving an attempted murder‑for‑hire plot. (Image: Miami-Dade County Police) The lawsuit alleges that Hernandez provided, encouraged, or facilitated the minor’s consumption of alcohol and controlled substances believed to include cocaine, impairing her ability to understand or resist what was about to occur. The complaint states that in the early hours of Jan. 1, 2025, Hernandez escorted the teenager from Masque to a hotel room at The Orleans, where he sexually assaulted her. The Allegations The lawsuit accuses Hernandez of sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Masque’s owner, D. Procyon LLC, is also named as a defendant. The lawsuit alleges the nightclub failed to verify the plaintiff’s age, monitor her condition, or intervene before she left the premises with Hernandez. It claims employees and management did not take reasonable steps to prevent a visibly impaired minor from exiting the venue. Masque Nightclub—previously known as Medusa and Embassy—was located at 3355 S. Procyon Ave. in Las Vegas. It permanently closed in April 2025. (Image: Google Street View) Boyd is accused of failing to provide adequate security and failing to properly train or supervise employees responsible for guest safety. The lawsuit asserts that Orleans staff should have intervened or prevented Hernandez from taking the minor to a room. Hernandez has not been criminally charged in connection with the alleged assault, which apparently went unreported at the time. He is currently incarcerated in Florida for his role in an attempted murder‑for‑hire plot unrelated to the Las Vegas allegations. The plaintiff seeks more than $15,000 in compensatory damages from the defendants, along with punitive damages, medical and counseling costs, attorneys’ fees, and other relief the court may deem appropriate.
