Blokotech has signed off the inaugural Bloko Padel Tour with its Grand Finale in Rome, celebrating a successful first season that has united the international iGaming community through padel, competition and networking. Held at SiGMA World in Rome on Wednesday 4th November, the Grand Finale saw the tour’s leading players compete for the 2026 titles, following tournaments in Buenos Aires, Malta, Miami and Mexico City. In the Beginner category, Rommel Bucheli and Edu Molina were crowned champions, overcoming runners-up Yosef Kamel and Ronaldo Molina. In the Advanced category, Borja Jimenez and Francisco Amat claimed the title, with Nicolas Castearena and Andres Troelsen finishing as runners-up. Italian icon and World Cup winner Marco Materazzi played a prominent role in the Grand Finale as an official Bloko Padel Tour ambassador, joining delegates at Pavilion 9, which was transformed into a dedicated padel and networking hub, complete with a competition court, VIP areas, a bar and entertainment, creating a vibrant setting for players and industry professionals to connect throughout SiGMA World. The event also attracted other high-profile sporting personalities, with former Formula 1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella taking part in an exhibition match on 3rd November. Marco Materazzi, Bloko Padel Tour Official Ambassador, commented: It’s been a genuine pleasure to be part of the Bloko Padel Tour and to see the passion and energy surrounding the Grand Finale. Padel is a sport that brings people together, and that’s exactly what this tour has achieved. I’ve loved being involved and seeing the competitive spirit and camaraderie among the players. I’m proud to be an ambassador for the series and look forward to seeing it grow even further in 2027. The action continues today with One Point by Blokotech, a fast-paced padel competition where every point counts. Designed to deliver excitement and entertainment for players and spectators alike, the one-point format will see competitors battle it out for the title, with the winner crowned at the end of the day. More than a sporting competition, the Bloko Padel Tour has established itself as an international networking platform, bringing together iGaming decision-makers and fostering genuine connections beyond the traditional conference floor. Following a successful opening season, the Bloko Padel Tour will return in 2027 with six international tournaments across Europe and Latin America, in partnership with SiGMA. It all starts in Barcelona on 18th January during ICE, followed by Buenos Aires (15th March), São Paulo (5th April), Malta (3rd May) and Mexico City, before concluding with the Grand Finale in Rome. Beginner and Advanced draws are back, with players earning ranking points throughout the season to qualify for the Grand Finale. Blokotech Co-Founder and CEO Salvatore Messina commented: Rome delivered the finale that the Bloko Padel Tour deserved! Congratulations to our winners and everyone who made our inaugural season such a success. It’s been fantastic to see the industry come together, combining some healthy competition with great opportunities to connect and build relationships away from the exhibition floor. We couldn’t have asked for a better first season, and we can’t wait to return in 2027 with an even bigger and better series. Registration for the 2027 Barcelona tournament is now open at https://blokotech.com/, with participants able to enter individually or as a pair.
