The Golden State Valkyries enter as an 89% road favorite to chase down the top seed in Portland, while the Washington Mystics at 91% and the Las Vegas Aces at 91% catch wounded opponents with zero interior resistance. Meanwhile, the Chicago Sky at 68% are primed to take advantage of a free-falling Toronto Tempo squad, and the Minnesota Lynx at 50% bring the league’s top defense into Indiana. Over their last 10 games, Connecticut is surrendering nearly 45 paint points a night. The Washington Mystics have spent that same 10-game stretch pounding teams inside for 46 paint points and pulling down 78 percent of defensive rebounds, and you cannot win basketball games if you can't protect the rim and can't clean the glass. Washington handled the Sun in the last two meetings, and with Connecticut completely depleted inside, the Mystics cruise at home. Lynx vs Fever pick: Lynx Trade 50% at Kalshi → Caitlin Clark is good to go, and the Indiana Fever want a 94-foot track meet, but while the Fever offense looks flashy, defense still wins games. Over their last 10 outings, the Minnesota Lynx are holding opponents to under 36 paint points while swiping nearly nine steals a night. When the game slows down in the fourth quarter, you win with execution and stops. The Lynx already proved they can trade punches with Indiana, putting up 108 in their last meeting, while Indiana has surrendered 43 paint points a night over their last 10. Trust Minnesota’s defensive discipline to close it out. Tempo vs Sky pick: Sky Trade 68% at Kalshi → Don't let the Chicago Sky's injury report scare you off. Over the last 10 games, the Toronto Tempo has completely fallen apart on the court. Every single player in the Tempo rotation is carrying a double-digit negative net rating, led by Laura Juskaite and Temi Fagbenle, who are giving up nearly 120 points per 100 possessions. Kiki Rice and Isabelle Harrison are being forced into massive minutes and simply cannot get defensive stops. Chicago still has Kamilla Cardoso controlling the glass inside, where Toronto offers zero interior resistance. Chicago grinds this out in the half court and takes care of business at home. Valkyries vs Fire pick: Valkyries Trade 89% at Kalshi → The Golden State Valkyries are hunting down the number-one overall seed, and there won't be any letdown tonight. Emily Engstler is the lone Portland Fire player with a positive net rating over the last 10 games, and Carla Leite can create off the bounce, but two players can't beat this machine. We just watched Golden State suffocate Portland 82–66 three days ago. The Valkyries are 3–0 straight up and ATS against the Fire, holding them to fewer than 70 points in back-to-back meetings while allowing just 26 paint points over their last 10 games. The Valkyries roll again on the road. Sparks vs Aces pick: Aces Trade 91% at Kalshi → The injury report seals the Los Angeles Sparks' fate. Cameron Brink and Dearica Hamby are both ruled out, completely gutting the Sparks’ frontcourt. Over their last 10 games with those two on the floor, Los Angeles was already surrendering an inexcusable 47 paint points a night and coughing up 20 points off turnovers. The Las Vegas Aces boast a 59 percent true shooting percentage over their last 10 and feasted on LA twice this year in 27-point and 10-point blowouts. Without Brink's rim protection and Hamby's rebounding, the Sparks have zero interior resistance. The Aces control the glass, run transition, and cruise at home.
