Cambodian casino operator NagaCorp Ltd says its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives benefited 134,363 people across the country in the first half of 2026. NagaCorp has a casino monopoly running to the end of 2045 for the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh, where it operates the NagaWorld casino complex (pictured). The Hong Kong-listed firm said its “NagaWorld Kind Hearts” programme organised 422 activities during the first six months of 2026, supported by 766 employee volunteers contributing 3,919 volunteer hours. The programme focuses on four areas: education, community, environment, and sports, according to the firm’s interim report. The education effort saw 108 computers donated among nine schools in Cambodia to help establish computer laboratories and improve digital literacy. The initiative also distributed school supplies to 3,018 students, from pre-school level up to high-school level. NagaCorp additionally delivered six fire-safety education programmes covering 5,407 students and teachers. The company also said that NagaWorld signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with the Jiu-Jitsu Federation of Cambodia, to develop the sport and strengthen the country’s international presence in martial arts competition. Environmental initiatives in the six months to June 30 included the second edition of the “Clean and Green School Programme”, expanded to 79 secondary and high schools in Phnom Penh and Kampong Cham. NagaWorld Kind Hearts conducted 27 workshops under the scheme, with participating schools also launching vegetable and hydroponic gardens, plastic-upcycling projects, and cleanliness campaigns. NagaCorp said the proportion of participating schools meeting defined cleanliness standards increased to 96 percent in 2026, from 55 percent in 2025.
