More than a century after the RMS Titanic sank on her maiden voyage, Mohegan Sun is bringing the ill-fated ocean liner back to life next month through an immersive experience. The Legend of the Titanic is coming to Mohegan Sun. The immersive experience is designed to help grow non-gaming visitation to the tribal casino located in Connecticut. (Image: The Legend of the Titanic) After wowing audiences in London, Paris, Munich, and Madrid, The Legend of the Titanic is cruising across the Atlantic to Connecticut. The interactive, immersive exhibit allows guests to step aboard the doomed ship that sank after hitting an iceberg 114 years ago. Utilizing the latest technology like immersive 360-degree projections, virtual reality, and the Metaverse’s augmented reality, The Legend of the Titanic offers visitors the chance to step back in time to 1912 to experience the building of the ship at Belfast’s Harland & Wolff shipyard before journeying across the Atlantic. The attraction grants guests access to explore the ship’s decks, cabins, and elegant corridors through a multi-sensory experience that “captures the grandeur and enduring legacy of the world’s most famous ocean liner.” The Legend of the Titanic opens Nov. 20, 2026, at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. The approximately 90-minute attraction includes 13 expansive rooms. Tickets start at $39.50 for adults and $29.50 for children aged 3-15. Importance of Non-Gaming Lures Mohegan Sun is celebrating its 30th anniversary this month, with the tribal casino opening on Oct. 12, 1996. Owned and operated by the Mohegan Tribe, Mohegan, in addition to Mohegan Sun, today owns and/or operates Mohegan Pennsylvania in the Pocono Mountains and Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino Resort in Ontario. Like most large-scale casinos, Mohegan Sun is much more than a casino but an entertainment destination with an array of non-gaming attractions. Along with 1,600 hotel rooms, Mohegan Sun has a world-class spa, two convention centers, a golf course, over 70 retail shops, the 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena, and 43 dining and drinking options. Immersive entertainment like the Titanic show continues to make gains in market share against more traditional entertainment attractions. “Location-based immersive experience venues are transforming the US entertainment landscape by turning leisure time into multi-sensory, story-driven adventures that blend technology, art, and guest interaction at every turn,” read a 2026 study from White Hutchinson, a consulting firm in leisure, entertainment, learning, and recreational experiences. White Hutchinson estimated that revenues from immersive entertainment venues in 2025 were more than $4 billion. “Immersive experiences deliver exactly what today’s younger adult audiences value most: uniqueness, interactivity, and memorable social engagement,” the report concluded. Mohegan Entertainment Through the third quarter of its 2026 fiscal year (June 30, 2026), Mohegan said it generated revenue from “retail, entertainment, and other” of approximately $147.5 million. That was down almost 4% from the same three months in the company’s 2025 fiscal year. At Mohegan Sun, we remain committed to bringing exceptional experiences to our guests and continually raising the bar,” said Jeff Hamilton, president and general manager of Mohegan Sun. “Partnering with The Legend of the Titanic to bring this captivating attraction to the Northeast is a perfect example of that commitment. It combines history, technology, and immersive storytelling, and we’re truly looking forward to welcoming guests to what will be an amazing experience,” Hamilton added.
