MGM Resorts International reported a 1% year-on-year decline in Q3 2026 revenue to $4.2 billion. Net loss narrowed to $17 million from $285 million, while adjusted EBITDA fell to $403 million from $506 million. MGM China had a 5% increase in revenue of $1.1 billion while MGM Digital recorded a 6% rise to $184 million. Conversely, revenue in regional operations decreased by 8% to $883 million, though same-store revenue increased by 1% after accounting for property dispositions. Revenue from MGM’s Las Vegas Strip resorts fell by 2% to $1.95 billion as a result of lower room rates negating good casino performances. The performance of MGM’s casino improved as revenues rose by 8% to $488 million while room revenue fell by 6% to $622 million. The average daily room rate fell by 8% to $218 and revenue per available room fell by 8% to $193. Occupancy was stable at 89%. Segment adjusted EBITDAR fell by 12% to $531 million. Profitability also fell in regional operations, where adjusted EBITDAR fell by 18%, and MGM China, where it decreased by 7% to $264 million. MGM Digital reduced its adjusted EBITDAR loss from $23 million a year ago to $4 million in the recent quarter. MGM President and CEO Bill Hornbuckle said: Jet fuel prices hit a record high in September, and while domestic airfares have risen an average of 12% since March ’26, we saw airline pricing to Las Vegas up about 45% in Q3 versus last summer. Gas prices also remain high, impacting customer wallets. Consequently, our Q3 performance achieved flat occupancy, but at lower room rate. This summer, because of pricing, most notably, air pricing into this market, it extended beyond just that. MGM executives said October performance was showing signs of improvement, with room-rate trends looking more like July than the weaker months that followed. Hornbuckle said added: MGM remains committed to being the global leader in gaming entertainment, and it starts here in Las Vegas.
