Casino operator Melco Resorts & Entertainment Ltd has confirmed to GGRAsia that Scott Tang, senior vice president (SVP) and head of resorts operations Macau, is no longer with the company. The firm did not disclose when Mr Tang stepped down. “We can confirm that Scott Tang is no longer with the company,” a Melco Resorts spokesperson told GGRAsia. Mr Tang had joined Melco Resorts in 2010, serving in various roles, including as SVP for business development and casino services. In 2019, he took on the role as head of resorts operations Macau, according to his profile in social network LinkedIn. The Melco Resorts spokesperson also confirmed that senior executive Raymond Lo assumed Mr Tang’s responsibilities on an acting basis. The company stated: “Appropriate transition arrangements have been put in place, with Raymond Lo, SVP, head of global marketing and general manager of Altira Macau and Mocha Clubs, overseeing the relevant responsibilities in an acting capacity, in addition to his current role.” The casino firm did not specify the reason for Mr Tang’s departure or provide further details regarding the responsibilities being assumed by Mr Lo. “As this is an internal personnel matter, we will not comment further,” the company stated. Melco also stressed that “business operations continue as usual”. Altira Macau is a casino hotel located in Taipa, and the Mocha Clubs is a network of electronic gaming venues operated by Melco Resorts in the Macau market. Aside from Altira and Mocha Clubs, Melco Resorts operates the City of Dreams Macau and Studio City casino resorts in Macau’s Cotai district. Outside Macau, the group operates City of Dreams Manila in the Philippine capital, and several in the Republic of Cyprus. In the third quarter last year, it launched a new casino in the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo. The company reported last week net income of US$22.7 million for the second quarter of 2026, up 31.8 percent year-on-year. That was on group-wide operating revenues that fell 5.7 percent year-on-year, to circa US$1.25 billion. Second-quarter adjusted property earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) declined by 19.6 percent year-on-year, to nearly US$303.8 million.
