LOW6, an award-winning global creator of sports gamification and skill gaming platforms, announced that it has acquired UK skill gaming company Splash Games for an undisclosed sum. The transaction is expected to bolster LOW6’s B2B skill gaming offering. LOW6 Wants to Upgrade Its B2B Skill Gaming Offering In its announcement, LOW6 described Splash Games as a company with significant experience in competitive, real-money skill gaming. For reference Splash Games was founded in Brighton and has built a consumer skill gaming platform that allows players to participate in tournaments across a variety of games, such as Solitaire Splash, Bubble Splash and Word Splash. By bringing Splash Games’ experience into the LOW6 fold, the latter company will be able to enhance the rollout of its B2B white-label skill gaming offering, Rivalz, to its partners. According to LOW6, skill gaming ranks among the “most exciting” new verticals within the iGaming sector. It explained that such products allow players to compete in short skill-based games where the best performers win. Participating in such games requires entry fees, which is how operators can monetize such products. LOW6 argued that skill-based games appeal to the sentiments of younger audiences who like to compete. Because of that, the company expressed excitement about the acquisition of Splash Games. For reference, LOW6’s Rivalz skill gaming platform was launched earlier this year and is soon set to go live with multiple tier 1 operators in the USA. The platform is designed to handle contest management, compliance, and the technical operation, allowing partners to focus on offering exciting products to their fans. The Rivalz platform currently offers a variety of competitive games, such as blackjack, hold’em, 8-ball pool, color sort and darts, among others. Splash Games CEO Joins LOW6 as Head of Commercial Company leaders commented on the transaction, with Jamie Mitchell, LOW6’s co-founder and chief executive officer, saying that PVP skill gaming is an extremely exciting new vertical and one with “enormous potential” for audience engagement.
