Light & Wonder’s ‘Joyup’ makes world debut at Solaire in Manila

Casino equipment supplier Light & Wonder Inc says its “Joyup” slot game has made its world debut at Solaire Resort Entertainment City in Manila, a complex controlled by Philippine-listed Bloomberry Resorts Corp. The installation also marked the Asia debut of the company’s Cosmic Dual cabinet, according to a social media post. Joyup is the latest title in Light & Wonder’s “Jin Ji Bao Xi” game family. In Thursday’s post announcing the launch, the supplier said it expected further Joyup installations on casino floors across Asia, without naming other venues or giving a timetable. The game is available in “Phoenix” and “Dragon” themes. Light & Wonder previously told GGRAsia that Joyup retains elements of the “Jin Ji Bao Xi” series while adding a “Joyup coin” feature that can upgrade a repeat-win prize. Ethan Vella, the company’s product lead for electronic gaming machines in Asia, said at the time that Joyup could be offered as a main-floor linked progressive game or in a VIP version as a standalone progressive. The Cosmic Dual cabinet has two 27-inch HD displays and Light & Wonder’s iDECK player interface and button deck. The supplier has said the cabinet is intended to bring new hardware to casino floors while supporting both launch titles and games from its existing catalogue.
