Jeju Dream Tower’s October casino sales jump 115pct m-o-m, rise 24pct y-o-y

October casino sales for South Korea’s Lotte Tour Development Co Ltd leapt 115.4 percent month-on-month, to reach just under KRW62.53 billion (US$46.6 million). That is according to a Monday filing to the Korea Exchange. Judged yearly, such sales improved 24.1 percent. Lotte Tour runs the Jeju Dream Tower resort (pictured in a file photo), including its foreigner-only casino, on the holiday island of Jeju. October table-game sales at the property were just over KRW60.35 billion, up 134.6 percent sequentially, and up 24.9 percent year-on-year. But machine-game sales slipped 34.3 percent month-on-month, though nonetheless showed a 5.5-percent improvement year-on-year, at just over KRW2.17 billion. The latest monthly data took total casino sales for the first 10 months this year to almost KRW455.56 billion, up 18.5 percent year-on-year. October casino drop – the amount paid for chips at tables – was nearly KRW327.42 billion, up 37.7 percent month-on-month, and up 27.5 percent year-on-year. It took total drop for the year up to October 31 to almost KRW2.29 trillion, up 12.3 percent from 2025. Lotte Tour’s October hotel sales were slightly over KRW6.71 billion, which was a 6.7-percent sequential improvement, but down 9.2 percent on October 2025. In other information, Lotte Tour said October table hold was 18.4 percent, down 40 basis points from October 2025’s figure of 18.8 percent. This October’s machine-game hold was 5.6 percent, versus 7.5 percent a year earlier. Last month’s tally of casino visitors was 66,254, up 13.9 percent on October 2025’s aggregate of 58,166. But the October 2026 visitor tally was marginally down on the 66,393 recorded for September.
