Casino games and equipment supplier IGT has appointed Adam Chibib (pictured) as its new chief financial officer (CFO), with effect from November 1, subject to regulatory approvals, the firm said in a Monday press release. Mr Chibib will succeed Fabio Celadon, who will remain CFO until October 31, the company stated. Mr Celadon will subsequently serve as an advisor through to December 31, “to support a smooth transition”. As incoming CFO, Mr Chibib will “help align financial strategy, capital priorities and business execution” with the firm’s long-term objectives. Mr Chibib is said to have more than three decades of experience in financial and operational leadership, including in the gaming sector. He has worked at “public companies, private equity backed businesses and high growth technology organisations,” per the announcement. He has previously served as president and CFO of gaming equipment supplier Multimedia Games Inc, where, according to IGT, he “helped double revenue, triple profitability and increase the company’s market capitalisation from approximately US$47 million to more than US$1 billion”. Multimedia Games was acquired in 2014 by Global Cash Access Holdings Inc – subsequently renamed Everi Holdings Inc – in a deal valued at approximately US$1.2 billion. Mr Chibib later served as chairman of the board and chair of the audit committee of gaming equipment supplier PlayAGS Inc through the latter’s acquisition in 2025. Most recently, Mr Chibib was CFO of Raptor Technologies, a technology business acquired by private-equity firm Warburg Pincus LLC in January this year. IGT’s chief executive, Hector Fernandez, said in prepared remarks that the incoming CFO brought the “public company, private equity and gaming experience” required for the current stage of the group’s transformation. “His financial discipline and operating mindset will be important as we sharpen execution and strengthen cash flow creation,” Mr Fernandez stated. IGT said it was pursuing a transformation focused on “operating discipline, portfolio performance and cash flow creation” across its gaming, digital and fintech businesses. The company confirmed to GGRAsia in mid-July that it is ending its electronic table game (ETG) business in 2027, as part of its “focus on core business priorities”. The current IGT was formed through a merger deal that combined International Game Technology Plc’s gaming and digital content business and fintech specialist Everi, in a circa US$6.3-billion transaction involving funds linked to private equity firm Apollo Global Management Inc. The deal was completed in July last year.
