The Dutch Gambling Authority (KSA) renewed five-year licenses of eight operators to enable them to grant online gambling services till 2031 in the Netherlands. Since the launch of the regulated online gambling market in the Netherlands in 2021, the KSA has issued a total of eight follow-up licenses. The extended licenses will remain valid from October 2026 through September 2031. Existing licenses will be expiring at the end of September 2026. The recipients are: TOTO Online B.V. – TOTO and Winnitt Holland Casino N.V. – Holland Casino Online Play North Limited – Kansino FPO Nederland B.V. – FairPlay Casino Bingoal Nederland B.V. – Bingoal Hillside (New Media Malta) Plc – bet365 NSUS Malta Limited – GGPoker Betent B.V. – BetCity Renewals include additional checks in comparison to the licensing procedures started in 2021. The KSA focused on violations made during the last five years that were definitely established. Applicants needed to explain how they dealt with previous violations and what application of measures can prevent further breaches. The regulator confirmed that the licenses were met by all eight applicants but there were additional requirements from the compliance point of view for some of the applicants. The newly issued licenses will allow the operators to be active participants in the online gambling market in the Netherlands for the next five years. The eight approvals testify the presence of the important international and local operators in the online gambling market in the Netherlands till the year 2031.
