BetMakers posts strong financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027. Adjusted EBITDA raised 176.1% year on year to AU$5.9 million (£3.1 million). Supported by digital growth and improved gross margins revenue increased by 16.3% which is approximately AU$24.7 million. The results come as the company prepares for its proposed acquisition by Australian gambling operator Tabcorp. In Q3 2026, BetMakers recorded strong performance across its Apollo and Global Tote platforms. Apollo achieved record activity levels, with momentum continuing into the post-quarter period during major Australian horse racing events, including the Caulfield Cup and The Everest. The company’s gross margin increased to 69.1%, up from 63.9% a year earlier and approaching its long-term target of at least 70%. Net cash strengthened to AU$2.8 million, compared with AU$1.2 million in the first quarter of FY2026. BetMakers CEO Jake Henson said: Reaching $24.7m in quarterly revenue while generating $2.8m in operating cash flow and $5.9m in Adjusted EBITDA reflects the strong commercial adoption across our product suite and continued operational discipline from our global team. We have built an agile, technology-driven business model that yields operating leverage as we scale and continue to observe a strong pipeline of new opportunities to support that scale. Tabcorp acquisition values BetMakers at AU$283 million As Tabcorp proposed an acquisition, BetMakers’ share price has risen over the past six months, trading relatively steadily around AU$0.24 per share. The acquisition was made public in August with estimated cost AU$283 million (£148 million) and the enterprise value at that time was AU$267 million (£140 million). The parties have agreed on a price of AU$0.24 per share for all the shares issued in BetMakers. The parties plan to carry out the process in the third quarter of FY2027, depending on approvals and completion measures in place. In September, the company reported a year-on-year growth of 205% in EBITDA for FY2026 and the results for the full financial year.
