AB Trav och Galopp (ATG) has established a new product department tasked with the key objective of “re-energising its online betting platform and wagering services”. The launch of the division forms part of the Swedish totalisor operator’s group-wide restructuring of operating units, beginning on 1 October 2026 and led by Jörgen Forsberg as acting Chief Executive. Leadership seeks to apply new responsibilities on product development, commercial operations and IT so it can enhance corporate performance and investment. Jesper Komstadius (Head of Product) has taken on the role of Chief Product Officer (CPO) taking charge of the new department and joining ATG’s management team. Komstadius will develop ATG’s digital products and services (experience includes Nordic Marketing Manager at Samsung). Explaining the changes, Lotta Nilsson, CFO and Deputy CEO, said: “With clearer responsibilities for the new product department we will have better conditions to develop our products and services, set the right priorities and use our development power where it makes the biggest difference. “For our customers, this will ultimately be noticeable through better gaming experiences.”Tech leadership The restructuring follows ATG’s plans to relaunch an updated V75 as its flagship Saturday racing pool on 28 November (replacing V85). Group reorganisation As well as product changes Svensk Travsport is reviewing the Saturday racing programme so that races are more evenly matched and competitive (part of efforts to improve betting experience). ATG’s Commercial division (headed by Chief Commercial Officer Katarina Widman) will also be restructured. Horse betting, sports betting and casino will have more tightly integrated responsibility for their offers, marketing and sales. The reorganisation also gives IT a clearer remit (stable and secure operations, cybersecurity, platforms and data). Therese Haeggblom Widmark is now Chief Information Officer and joins the management team. She has been acting CIO before leading ATG’s IT development; she was appointed as Daniel Santikos prepares to leave the company this autumn. “Both Jesper and Therese have broad experience of ATG’s operations so they will bring with their strengths what they know best to the continued development of work in our management team as well as within the company,” Nilsson said. ATG is owned by Sweden’s trotting and galloping sports organisations and reported group revenue of SEK 6bn in 2025. Surplus funds go back to racing — about SEK 2.3bn were handed over to owners Svensk Travsport and Svensk Galopp last year alone.
