Allwyn has appointed a new head of responsible gaming in the face of Francesco Rodano who will step into the crucial role and help spearhead the firm’s efforts in that direction. Allwyn Well-Seasoned Industry Insider to Further Enhance RG Efforts Rodano is himself well-versed in various areas, including public policy, regulation, and technological innovation, and has more than 10 years with another tech-focused gaming company, Playtech. The new head of responsible gambling helped Playtech lead its global player protection initiative along with long-term business sustainability, and is now joining the firm at a crucial time when protecting consumers is even more important as regulatory scrutiny intensifies. Allwyn CEO Robert Chvátal has welcomed the opportunity, and said: “As Allwyn expands its global presence, being responsible isn’t just how we approach business, it is a key part of who we are and our long-term strength. From how we partner, hire and innovate, to how we make games safer, we embed integrity and care across everything we do. Francesco’s appointment and the experience he brings are another clear commitment to that philosophy, and I am delighted to welcome him to Allwyn.” Rodano himself welcomed what he described as a privilege to be part of Allwyn’s family and to help it strengthen its responsible gambling. Consumer Protection Remains Core Global Pillar “Player protection is something I live and breathe and I look forward to implementing that passion at scale across Allwyn,” Rodano added. His appointment was similarly welcomed by Tatiana Jouanneau, group chief brand officer at Allwyn, who also said that Rodano was a unique individual with extensive experience in responsible gambling and a strong understanding of consumers. Rodano’s addition is only going to ensure that player protection is an integral part of Allwyn’s global operations. This is not the first time the company has demonstrated its readiness to enhance its player protection safeguards. In July, Allwyn announced a comprehensive research program into player safety. The program focuses on stimulating academic research, with the best work receiving funding from Allwyn’s Player Protection Lab, a program designed to test how gambling behavior can be steered away from potential harm.
